Baseball gives up 4-run rally in eighth inning, drops second game to Sacramento State, 6-5

Auburn’s famed “Section 111” will be returning to Plainsman Park this season, but things will be different under new coach Butch Thompson. Although it became the official student section of Auburn Baseball in 2000, Coach Thompson is the first coach to fully accept the section.

Sunny Golloway is gone. His two years here had become a melting pot of emotions: exciting, disappointing, promising, and ultimately wasted. When he was hired in June of 2013, a energizing jolt got sent through the veins of the Auburn program. The Tigers had been to the NCAA Tournament just twice in the 10 years prior to Golloway’s hiring.
