Plainsman Prep teaches incoming freshmen calculus

Each year, hundreds of incoming freshmen sign up for pre-engineering or another one of Auburn’s STEM degree programs. This summer, the Office of Academic Support introduced Plainsman Prep, a program which teaches basic calculus concepts to incoming freshmen before they start engineering-level calculus courses such as MATH 1610.

Bass fishing team headed to nationals

The Auburn University Bass Fishing Team is sending three teams to Carhartt College Bass Nationals to compete with 90 other teams around the U.S., according to the team's Facebook page and Track 'Em Tigers.

Researcher wins National Science Foundation award for technological innovation

“This award is reaffirmation of Dr. Lall’s national reputation and recognition of his seminal contributions to the field of mechanical engineering,” said Christopher Roberts, dean of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. “His work has positioned Auburn Engineering to be a leader in harsh environment electronics research as we address the challenges in this exciting field.”

Auburn to host cattle conference

The Department of Animal Sciences at Auburn University will touch on the cow industry, factors influencing that market, updates on the research and the future of farming and ranching at its annual Beef Cattle Conference. According to the U.S.
