The Board of Trustees approved several renovation projects at its Friday, June 10 meeting. The Haley Center Quad, the Gavin Engineering Research Building and Broun Hall will undergo renovations. Haley Center The Haley Center Quad renovations will "facilitate the relocation of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics from Parker Hall and Allison Laboratory." The project will renovate approximately 40,000 square feet of space on the third floor of Haley Center Quads One and Two, according to Associate Vice President for Facilities Dan King.

Hinton, who was the marching band director from 1956-1969 and chair of the music department until he retired in 1984, died this week at 95.
