The No. 4 nationally seeded Auburn softball team took a second victory from Jacksonville State in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at Jane B.

Forty-eight student-athletes from the Southeastern Conference have received 2016 NFCA Division I All-Region awards.

"I thought we were going to win two (games), we were in a good situation. Unfortunately, we just didn't get the job done," Auburn coach Clint Myers said after the second game. "If you want to be a national champ, you've got to be able to win those types of games."
Auburn senior Jade Rhodes' dominant week for her dominant team didn't go unnoticed by the SEC. Rhodes was named the SEC Softball Player of the Week on Monday after her performance helped the Tigers go 4-0, including the most lopsided sweep in program history against Arkansas, and increase their win streak to a school-record 16 games.
