The Auburn men's basketball team dropped its 16th consecutive conference game Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark., where the Tigers fell 86-67.

Auburn (8-9, 0-6 SEC) dropped below .500 for the first time this season and trailed Arkansas (13-6, 2-4 SEC) for most of Saturday's contest.

Guards KT Harrell and Chris Denson again led the Tigers in scoring with 17 and 18 respectively, but the duo shot just 8-of-28 combined from the floor and made just two of their nine 3-point attempts.

The Razorbacks burst out to an 8-1 lead at the first media timeout and it took over seven and a half minutes before Auburn would make its first field goal attempt.

The Tigers struggled mightily from the field in the first half, making just seven of their field goal attempts and turning it over 12 times. Arkansas led 36-25 after the first half of play.

Auburn improved shooting in the second half, going 45.2% from the field, but Arkansas' high tempo offense yielded the Razorbacks a 50 point half that kept Auburn from ever truly threatening the lead.

Junior guard Rashad Madden scored a season high 24 points and added five assists to lead the Razorbacks, while freshman forward Bobby Portis scored 18 points and collected nine rebounds in the victory.

After being shut out in the Tigers' 82-74 mid-week loss to Mississippi State, Auburn's bench contributed 11 combined points on 4-of-11 shooting.

Auburn returns home Wednesday to face off against the Alabama Crimson Tide (8-10, 2-3 SEC). Tip-off is scheduled 7 p.m.
