Ramsier, Le Beau named SEC Soccer Players of the Week

Two Auburn soccer team players have been named SEC Players of the Week in the same week for the first time in program history. Junior Casie Ramsier and redshirt freshman Sarah Le Beau were named SEC Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively.

The conference weekly honor is the first of Ramsier's career and the second for Le Beau. Le Beau was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week after the opening weekend of the season when she posted two shutouts over UC-Irvine and Long Beach State.

The two played substantial roles in Auburn's wins over No. 24 LSU and No. 9 Florida this past weekend. Ramsier had two goals per game, both game-winners. Le Beau allowed only four goals over the two games and had a total of 10 saves.

The honors tie the program record for number of Auburn players named conference player of the week in a single season.

Auburn will take the field Thursday in Tuscaloosa to face the Crimson Tide in the "Iron Bowl of College Soccer." The Tigers have won the last three meetings, including last year's 1-0 win in double overtime.
