Auburn Students for Life placed 150 crosses on Cater Lawn to symbolize each "life lost to abortion" for Pro-life Week, said Reagan Kanuit, AUSFL member and freshman in business.
Each cross represents 20 abortions per day, Kanuit said. The roses in front of each cross represent others affected by abortion.
AUSFL President Taylor Feagin said the demonstration has received mixed responses.
"In my years, I have seen protests against this display, and I have received personal testimonies and thank yous," Feagin said in an email. "We've had more positive responses to this display than negative, so we continue to do this display."
On Monday, April 11, AUSFL decorated a poster with faces of people on death row to "humanize" them for people walking down the concourse. They'll also host adoption-related events later this week, as well, Kanuit said.
