The Auburn University Regional Airport received a bomb threat on June 11, 2025, at 1:32 p.m. After determining the threat was not credible, the Auburn Police Department administratively closed the case, and the Auburn University Department of Campus Safety and Security chose to not issue an AU Alert.

Garden in the Park, an art festival hosted annually by Keep Opelika Beautiful, will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Municipal Park in Opelika. On Wednesday, April 23, Auburn University's Generation Action hosted the city’s inaugural Take Back the Night Walk, a long-standing, national movement against sexual and domestic violence. With around 40 protestors, the march began at Toomer’s Corner and ended at the Campus Green, where participants recited poems and survivor stories and received community resources for all victims of violence.
Auburn Parks and Recreation will host the 25th annual Auburn CityFest on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kiesel Park. When students flock to Auburn for their studies, they may be moving hundreds of miles away from the friends, family, community and customs that they know as home. For Black students who make up only a small fraction of the student body, this culture shock may be especially challenging. Black Student Union and the National Pan-Hellenic Council offer a space for Black students to simultaneously build community bonds, excel academically and develop professionally at Auburn.
