Former Auburn star and Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson was selected to be a part of the American League All-Star team for the third straight season on Tuesday. 

The 2015 AL MVP is tied for third with an OPS of .992, trailing only Mike Trout in percentage points (.994). Donaldson has homered 22 times for Toronto so far this season with 60 RBI and a league leading 77 runs. 

The Toronto Blue Jay broke the record in All-Star voting last season when he received 14,090,188 votes, surpassing the previous record set by Josh Hamilton in 2012.

The 2016 MLB All-Star Game will take place on July 12 at Petco Park in San Diego, California. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. CST on FOX.
