When living on a college campus and budget, students know that it can be difficult to think of good dates to impress that special someone.

However, students should not stress too much about their love lives because Auburn, Alabama, happens to be home to a trove of date spots that students can only experience right here on the Plains.

Rietta Bolus, a senior in education at the University, said she and her boyfriend like to take walks by Cater Hall and relax at on the porch rocking chairs.

This is a quiet spot at night when there are no events taking place on the lawn, and it is close to Samford Hall, Foy and downtown.

"There’s this beautiful garden by The Hill dorms that people overlook with a pond where you can always hear the frogs at night, and it’s really romantic,” Bolus said.

This area is located across from the Auburn President’s Mansion, and Parker describes it to be a dream date spot.

Hunter Lepold, a recent theatre graduate of Auburn, said he and his girlfriend enjoy attending theatre shows and taking advantage of free UPC events for students on campus.

Going to on campus events is a way to support and be a part of the Auburn community while also having a memorable night out.

"We play Frisbee golf on the unofficial course around campus,” Jack Hudon, a recent industrial engineering graduate from Auburn, said of him and his girlfriend.

Frisbee golf is an active date option if needing an idea for more of a group date. The unofficial course spans all around Auburn’s campus, and students prefer to play at night when there are fewer people around.

"Since we don’t have a car on campus, we are very limited, but we like to go stargazing and on picnics at the arboretum," said Emily Clasen, a sophomore in public relations..

Clasen gives further proof that students don’t need to go far from campus for a great date night, with Auburn’s open plains and clear skies, stargazing is sure to be a success.

Picnics are another date idea that can be done at several places on Auburn’s campus including the Davis Arboretum, Samford Hall and the Red Barn.
