Auburn University Dance Marathon will host their FT5K Color Run this Saturday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. The race will begin and end at the campus Green Space.
For its third 5K race, AUDM is hosting a color run. Vice President of Operations Maria Miller took charge in its initiation and said she is aiming for a fun and laid-back atmosphere for the racers and those who come to watch.
The race will benefit the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Columbus, GA. Registration is $20 and includes a T-shirt and food from Waffle House.
According to Miller, runners can look forward to running through a myriad of colors as they race through campus as well as music, photo opportunities with Aubie and the chance to meet the miracle families impacted by their registration first hand.
“It’ll be a fun experience with friends that goes past just running a race,” Miller said. “Hearing our miracle families’ stories is an amazing experience, so I encourage everyone who comes out to the event to really get to know all of them.”
All proceeds will go toward the organization’s final total revealed during the main event in the spring.
