Marlon Davidson (3) waves to Auburn fans during the Auburn vs. LSU game Saturday Oct. 26, 2019, in Baton Rogue, La.

It was a quiet week for former Auburn players in the NFL, however, there were some standouts.

Quarterback Cam Newton led the New England Patriots to a 36-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Newton was 17-of-28 passing for 162 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Newton also added 27 rushing yards on nine carries.

The Patriots opted for a run-heavy approach in Sunday’s game which led to Newton appearing pedestrian in statistics. New England ran for 250 yards on the day, its highest total output on the season so far. The Patriots head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week 4, so look for Cam to be more effective in the passing game next week.

Newton’s teammate and former Tiger Jonathan Jones led the Patriots in tackles on Sunday, recording eight total tackles and five solo tackles.

On the other side of the matchup, Las Vegas kicker Daniel Carlson went 2-for-3 on field goals with a long of 29 yards. Carlson also converted both of his extra-point attempts.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carl Lawson had a career day on Sunday, racking up eight tackles and two sacks in the 23-23 tie with the Philadelphia Eagles. Lawson set a career-high in tackles on Sunday and forced a fumble as well.

Lawson’s teammate and former Tiger Josh Bynes recorded seven total tackles in the Bengals’ tie on Sunday. Bynes ranks second in tackles for the Bengals this year at 23 total tackles.

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton hasn’t been able to match his offensive output from Week 1, only putting up three catches for 56 yards on seven targets in Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants play the Los Angeles Rams on Week 4, so look for Slayton to get more involved against the Rams’ pass defense.

Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Marlon Davidson made his NFL debut on Sunday, racking up four total tackles in the Falcons’ 30-26 loss to the Chicago Bears. Davidson missed the first two weeks of the season with a knee injury.

Cleveland Browns kicker Cody Parkey went 2-for-2 on his field-goal attempts with a long of 42 yards in the Browns’ 34-20 win on Sunday. Parkey also converted all four of his extra-point attempts.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jamal Dean and Carlton Davis combined for 11 total tackles and one tackle for loss in Sunday's 28-10 win against the Denver Broncos. Dean led the team in tackles for the first time this season.

Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown had five total tackles and two tackles for a loss on Sunday. Brown has cemented himself as the Panthers’ starting defensive tackle, eating up double teams for the Panthers.

Thursday's game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins saw multiple former Tigers compete against each other, with six former players rostered between the two teams. Miami’s Noah Igbinoghene and Chandler Cox got the 31-13 win against Daniel Thomas on the Jaguars. Nick Coe and Javaris Davis are also on the Dolphins practice squad. Dontavius Russell is also on the Jaguars but is currently injured.
