On Wednesday, the SEC announced the matchups for the 2021 SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

Last season, Auburn hosted Iowa State in the annual challenge and came away with an 80-76 win.

In 2021, Auburn will travel to Waco, Texas, to play the Baylor Bears. Auburn has played the Bears six times, with the most recent meeting between the two coming in 2009.

Baylor won that matchup 74-72 in Auburn Arena. Auburn has a 2-4 overall record against the Bears.

Baylor finished last season with a 26-4 record. The Bears are returning four All-Big 12 players from last season and bring a familiar face with them in Davion Mitchell.

Mitchell originally signed with Auburn out of high school and spent his freshman season at Auburn. He averaged 3.7 points, 1.9 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 17 minutes per game.

Mitchell transferred to Baylor after the 2017-18 season.
