Following Auburn’s victory over Appalachian State on Tuesday, point guard Tyrell "Turbo" Jones entered the transfer portal.
The former 4-star prospect out of Orlando, Florida, confirmed the news on Twitter.
Jones was the team’s starting point guard in the absence of Sharife Cooper to begin the season.
Jones lost his starting spot to freshman Justin Powell after struggling in the first three games of the season. Since Jones lost his starting job, he has averaged seven minutes a game. The sophomore did not play in the win of App. State.
Jones averaged three points, one assist and one rebound through seven games this season.
