Following the impact of Hurricane Ida, Southeastern Louisiana has announced the cancellation of the Southeastern Showdown this weekend, as the university and local community begins the recovery process after a direct hit to the city of Hammond, Louisiana.
Auburn is now set to host and welcome two of the three opponents it was originally scheduled to face in a modified tournament inside Auburn Arena on Thursday and Friday.
The Tigers will first take on Cal State Fullerton on Thursday at 7 p.m. CST. Auburn will return to the court Friday against Southeastern Louisiana at 7:30 p.m. CST. to finish out the tournament.
Southern University, originally scheduled to compete in the Southeastern Showdown, will not make the trip to the Plains.
