Auburn volleyball fell in three straight sets to Tennessee in the final match of its shortened fall season Thursday in Auburn Arena. Auburn volleyball will return to the court in the spring. The league office will announce final details on SEC spring volleyball at a later date.
Auburn has been off the last two weeks, but during the first bye week, Chad Morris spoke about how Auburn's offense will "continue to be a work in progress" and highlighted some key pieces on Auburn's offense through the first six games.
Auburn volleyball traveled to Lexington, Kentucky, Saturday to take on another top-five opponent. The Tigers found an offensive rhythm but lost in straight sets to the No. 2 ranked Kentucky Wildcats.
Auburn volleyball had its first road match of the 2020 season and fell short in a three-set sweep to South Carolina Wednesday. The Tigers will get another opportunity against South Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 3:30 p.m. CST.
For the second-straight night, Auburn volleyball fell in a three-set sweep to Florida on Thursday. However, Brent Crouch did notice improvements from the team. "It was a really nice step forward on the defensive side,” Crouch said.
After a long-awaited debut, Auburn volleyball is set to begin its season this week after being postponed due to COVID-19. “The fact that we get to play is such a blessing, so I am glad that there are some things in place where we can do that safely,” said Crouch.
“I’m just looking forward to calming down,” Williams said. “My freshman year was a lot of jitters and stuff like that, just calming down and just run the ball.”
