Former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix is going "coast to coast". The three-year starter for the Tigers announced on social media Sunday that he is transferring to the University of Oregon.
During his time on the Plains, Nix threw for 7,251 yards and 39 touchdowns. He added 18 touchdowns on the ground.
Against Mississippi State earlier this season, Nix suffered a season-ending ankle injury that required surgery.
On Dec. 12, Nix officially announced his plans to enter the transfer portal.
Nix began his collegiate career for Auburn against Oregon in Arlington, Texas, to kick off the 2019 season. He led the Tigers to a 15-point comeback victory against the Ducks and began his freshman season 5-0 as a starter.
Auburn was 21-13 in games that Nix started.
It was during his freshman season that Nix won a career-high nine games in a season as a starter. He was operating under offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham, who was hired as Oregon's offensive coordinator on Dec. 17.
The duo will reunite in Eugene, Oregon, where Nix will look to duplicate the success he had in his freshman season, while bouncing back from the ankle injury suffered in November.
Nix has two years of eligibility remaining.
