Students, community invited to open forums with presidential candidate

Chris Roberts is the next President of Auburn University.

The search for Auburn University's next president may soon come to a close, as Samuel Ginn College of Engineering Dean Chris Roberts is the only candidate being considered at this time.

Over the next two days, Roberts will meet with Auburn students, faculty, staff and community members before traveling to Montgomery to meet with Gov. Kay Ivey and students at Auburn University at Montgomery.

Meetings that are open to the public have their times bolded.

Thursday, Jan. 20:

1-1:45 p.m.: In the Melton Student Center Ballroom, located on the third floor, Roberts will participate in an open forum that is open to all members of the public.

2-2:45 p.m.: In the Oak Room at the Auburn University Hotel & Conference Center, Roberts will have a meeting with University Senate and American Associate of University Professors leadership.

3-3:45 p.m.: In the Oak Room, Roberts will then meet with the Administrative & Professional Assembly and Staff Council leadership.

4-4:45 p.m.: In the Oak Room, Roberts will meet with Provost Bill Hardgrave and the college deans.

5-6:30 p.m.: In the Galloway Atrium at the Auburn Alumni Center, a reception will be held for members of the University, community, and alumni.

Friday, Jan. 21:

8-8:45 a.m.: In the Legacy Ballroom at the Auburn University Hotel & Conference Center, Roberts will meet with the President's Cabinet.

9-9:45 a.m.: In the Grand Ballroom at the Auburn University Hotel & Conference Center, Roberts will participate in another open forum that is open to all members of the public.

10-10:45 a.m.: In the Board Room at the Auburn University Hotel & Conference Center, Roberts will meet with the University's Board of Trustees.

1-1:30 p.m.: In the Office of the Governor at the Alabama State Capitol, Roberts will meet with Gov. Ivey.

2-3:00 p.m.: In Room 221 at the Taylor Center at the AUM campus, Roberts will participate in another open forum.

3-3:45 p.m.: Over Zoom, Roberts will participate in a forum with off-campus employees and stakeholders. Click here to attend.
