Established in 2005, SkyBar Cafe is located on the corner of West Magnolia Ave. and Wright Street. In downtown Auburn, and is the “SEC’s largest party bar,” per their Instagram.

It has grown to be a favorite in the Auburn bar scene and has been awarded the best bar for the 2022 Plainsman’s Choice.

The two-level bar attracts Auburn students, locals and visitors alike, offering drink specials and food such as pizza and hot dogs. Patrons are able to order drinks from the various bars throughout the first and second levels, enjoy live sporting events broadcasted on numerous TVs or participate in karaoke and trivia with friends.

“I enjoy going to SkyBar Cafe because it has a great atmosphere that has a lot to offer,” said Kayla Wigdahl, senior in public relations. “My favorite part about SkyBar is dancing with my friends to live music or DJ Ben Bruud in 'The Boom Boom Room.'”

During the week, karaoke and trivia are held on stage in the front room of SkyBar Cafe. As Wigdahl said, the stage and dance floor in the back room is referred to as “The Boom Boom Room,” where Thursday nights are reserved for "Throwback Thursday with DJ Ben Bruud" and patrons can experience live performances by bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

“SkyBar Cafe has always been a great place to go to with my friends,” said Alexandra Dingle, senior in marketing. “They have trivia, which is always fun, and they also are a great place to watch whatever game is on, especially Auburn ones.”

Although hours of operation vary, Skybar Cafe posts updates daily, including details about drink specials, cover, events and live performances.
