Nearly two years after the Auburn City Council approved the commercial development agreement, Buc-ee's officially opened its fourth location in Alabama this morning. The Auburn location is located off Interstate 85 at 2500 Buc-ee's Blvd.

At 6 a.m. this morning, the store officially opened and employees were met with lines of students and residents waiting to see the 53,470 square feet building.

Outside, Buc-ee's has a spacious parking lot and 120 fueling stations. The travel station will mimic the other locations and will offer the signature food selections such as barbecue and pastries and merchandise.

In addition to the opening, Buc-ee's also held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning at 9:30.

Buc-ee’s Real Estate Director Stan Beard told the Council in 2021 that the new location will provide at least 175 jobs to the area, all of which start at $15 per hour. The location is expected to generate between $2 and $2.6 million in tax revenue to Lee County.

Buc-ee's will be open 24 hours and the company is planning on expanding to other states in the future.
