Auburn Public Safety released a reminder to stay safe on the roads this weekend and take extra caution, as Auburn is hosting USA Cycling - Marathon Mountain Bike National Championship.
The championship is set to be held on Sept. 23, 2023 throughout the day.
According to Auburn Public Safety, "Traffic congestion is expected in Shell Toomer Parkway and Wrights Mill Road areas."
To avoid delays, routes this weekend should be planned accordingly.
"In the city of Auburn, drivers must leave a safe distance of three feet when passing a bicyclist," Auburn Public Safety said.
