On Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, there will be two emergency alert tests.
According to Auburn Campus Safety and Security, "The first [alert] will occur at 1:20 p.m. CST and it is a FEMA, nationwide test message to cellphones, wireless devices, radios and TVs."
There is no action required following this announcement, as it is simply a test.
"The second [alert] is an AU ALERT that will occur at approximately 5 p.m. CST," Auburn Campus Safety and Security said. "This test message will be sent via text, voice and email to all numbers and email addresses registered with AU ALERT. It will also appear on digital displays, computer screens, social media, website postings and the Auburn Safety App."
