Each year, the Plainsman’s Choice awards highlight the best places, events and activities in Auburn. Candidates are nominated by the editorial board and voted on by the entire staff. The hope is to connect with our audience of readers by sharing some personal opinions while also shining a light of favor on special entities within the Auburn-Opelika community.
This year, there are nine Plainsman’s Choice categories, which include: campus, shopping, athletics, food, leisure, coffee, professors, student organization and hidden gems. Among these nine categories, there are 64 sub-categories our staff nominated and voted on that range from best study location to best burger. All in all, this year provides 64 vetted, recommended and stellar winners for you to choose from and enjoy.
So, whether you’re getting advice as an incoming student about where to get coffee or coming back as an alumni wanting to know the best place to grab a bite these days, we hope you enjoy reading about these winners and feel encouraged to partake in our community even more.
