Cut the Gas is a comic strip by Plainsman cartoonist Caleb Eason that follows the life and troubles of Dakota, a high schooler tasked with showing a new student around. Cut the Gas will be published online weekly by The Plainsman.
Auburn University held its annual Homecoming Parade on Sept. 24, 2021, in Auburn, Ala.
On July 19, 2021, bald eagles Spirit and Independence and golden eagle Aurea made practice flights around Jordan-Hare Stadium. The eagles are housed in the College of Veterinary Medicine's Southeastern Raptor Center and make flights around the stadium during pregame festivities at home football games. The University announced on Monday that Spirit will make her last pregame flight on Saturday, Nov. 13, against Mississippi State.
Students and other patrons have continued to gather into packed bars, often without masks and not maintaining social distancing.
On Sunday, June 7, protestors from the Auburn community filled Toomer's Corner before marching to the police station.
