"Who will be Auburn's next head football coach?" That is the question that is circulating around the country and specifically in the minds of the many fans and supporters of the university. I have decided to go through each of the top names surrounding the coaching search and give them a rating on the likelihood that Auburn would want to and be able to hire them, along with how good I think the hire would be by giving them a rating on their quality. I will be doing these rankings on a scale of one to five with one being the worst and five being the best, to determine where I have each of the hires.

In front of nearly 1700 fans Thursday evening, Auburn soccer (5-5-5, 1-3-4) held one of the league's top attacks in check and relied on a clutch goal from Erin Flurey to secure a 1-1 draw against Oklahoma (9-3-4, 2-3-3). The Tigers controlled much of the first half, but Oklahoma struck first in the second half before Flurey converted a penalty to score a tie.

On Oct. 7, 2025, the Student Government Association’s budget and finance hearing proposed and finalized major cuts to several student activity organizations to balance the budget. The hearing required organization representatives to propose and vote on cuts to organizations’ budget items. The SGA Senate will vote on passing these budget changes in the upcoming weeks.

The Auburn Tigers Cross Country team will be heading to Columbia, Missouri this week to compete in the Gans Creek Classic hosted by the University of Missouri. The Tigers have held steady this year, finishing in the top 5 at each meet and even winning the women's team title at the Foothills Invitational. Auburn competed in the Gans Creek Classic last year, taking gold in the women's six-kilometer race. This year, Auburn is seeking to maintain its momentum with strong early-season finishes and hopes to continue this trend in this meet.

On Sept. 16, Alabama State House Representatives Jeremy Gray and Phillip Ensler attended a discussion with members of the Auburn-Opelika community regarding ways to prevent violence among young individuals in Alabama. The event was hosted by Moms Demand Action, an organization dedicated to protecting individuals from gun violence through public safety measures, and was held at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church.
