On March 9, 2022, indie game developer David Szymanski released "Iron Lung," a brief, hour-long horror stimulation in which players control a convict trapped in a submarine deep in an ocean of blood. With this unique plot and the game's accesibility due to the brief runtime, the game quickly grew in popularity, and the title now boasts a film adaptation of the same name and premise, only four years after its release.

This year, two candidates are in the running for Student Government Association (SGA) president. Election week kicks off on Feb. 3 at 3 p.m., with each candidate campaigning until Feb. 6. Voting will take place on Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the winner will be announced on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. on the Cater Hall steps.

On Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m., the Student Government Association (SGA) Major Candidates election campaigns officially began after the conclusion of the kickoff event held on the back steps of Cater Hall. The 2026 SGA candidates for president, vice president, treasurer and Miss Auburn all spoke center stage in front of a crowd in the courtyard behind Cater. At this event, the candidates revealed their campaigns for the upcoming week of elections, which concludes with a final day of voting on Friday, Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The results will be held at the same location on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.

Despite a strong opening, Auburn fell to No. 13 Ole Miss on Monday night with a final score of 71-45. Ole Miss pulled away decisively after Auburn’s strong opening minutes and controlled the game the rest of the night. A crowd of 3,787 fans turned out for the game, creating an SEC atmosphere at a rare, neutral-site matchup.
