Junior Josiah Gilbert set the pace for Auburn men’s golf at the Invitational at the Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee, leading the Tigers to a strong start to their fall season. Gilbert finished 6-under for the week, earning co-medalist honors for the second time in his collegiate career and helping Auburn secure a tie for second place in the team standings on Tuesday afternoon.

For most Americans, the natural assumption is that when they flush their toilet, the waste disappears into a tightly managed and regulated system. Beneath our cities, vast pipes snake out and flow into wastewater treatment plants, keeping our environment safe from the toxic waste that vanishes into the underground network. This assumption hides one of the greatest environmental scandals in American history.

In yesterday’s victory, Jackson Arnold threw for 142 yards, and Jeremiah Cobb had another 100-yard rushing game, both stepping into the roles this season has thrown at them. However, such an exceptional performance would not have been possible without one key piece - the offensive line.

From Oct. 1 until Nov. 4, Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) will hold its first-ever Artist's Harvest Exhibition, an opportunity for local artists to showcase their artwork and express their love for Halloween and the fall season. A reception and market, where these JDCAC-affiliated artists can sell their pieces and gain exposure in the world of creativity, will also take place on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Following a heartbreaking loss in the quarterfinals of the 2025 NCAA Championship, the Auburn Tigers are set to begin a new season and attempt another climb back to the top of the college golf world. The Tigers' 2025-26 campaign will tee off with the Invitational at The Honors Course on September 14-16.

Head coach Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers came away with a lot of questions following their 31–15 win over the Jaguars yesterday. Even though the Tigers ended the day with a comfortable win, Auburn’s defense showed definite signs of weakness at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday. South Alabama finished the game with more first downs, more passing yards, more time of possession, and a significantly higher completion percentage.

In this country, law and order has been an increasing talking point. No, I am not referring to the series cooked up by Dick Wolf. Issues of crime, homelessness and immigration have been a focal point in politics for the last decade. All the way back in his 2016 run, Donald Trump took to calling himself the candidate of law and order. In general, we believe that those who do wrong against society should be punished.
