Auburn is taking the hunt for its first SEC win to Kyle Field this week. Here's what our staff thinks about the matchup between No. 22 Auburn and No. 9 Texas A&M, complete with score predictions and analysis.
Jackie Dominguez, Sports Editor: Auburn 37-34
"I think Auburn is going to step on Kyle Field with something to prove after last week's borderline disaster at Oklahoma. Arnold ran for negative 11 yards against the Sooners, so he'll be looking to prove himself on the run today. The offensive line has almost certainly been hard at work this week to figure out what went wrong against Oklahoma, so they'll also be looking to show that they belong on the SEC stage. The receiving room has lost Horatio Fields to a broken foot, but Cam Coleman has had a great year so far and has stepped up in teammates' absence. I expect Coleman to have a great game today, providing Auburn's passing game with a much-needed pick-me-up. Defensively, I think our guys are going to struggle to contain the Aggie receivers, but I think guys like Keldric Faulk and Keyron Crawford will keep the energy and intensity up for the Tigers. It's going to be a tight game, but I think Auburn will be able to sneak out the win for their first SEC win of the season."
Reid Farris, Assistant Sports Editor: Auburn 34-28
"This is one of the toughest games of the season for me to predict as Auburn is coming off a respectable yet tough loss and going into College Station to face an undefeated top 10 opponent on their own turf. Texas A&M is definitely the favored team but only by a small margin even with the game being at home. The Aggies have the benefit of a bye week enabling them to prepare for Auburn while the Tigers still have a poor taste in their mouth from last week that could allow them to be more energized to get the win this week.
Ultimately for me it will come down to who can give their quarterback more time to throw the balln and win in the trenches that will decided who wins this game as both teams are both relatively balanced. I believe Auburn will find much more success against this Texas A&M defense than they did against the stout Sooners defense from the previous week and their run game led by Jeremiah Cobb and Damari Alston will be enough to give them the slight edge and get Hugh Freeze's biggest win of his Auburn career."
Rory Garvin, Sports Reporter: Auburn 30-27
"Auburn hasn't won a road game against a ranked opponent since 2021, but Hugh Freeze and company will end that drought Saturday afternoon against No. 9 Texas A&M.
I expect the Tigers' offensive line to bounce back after allowing nine sacks to Oklahoma and allow the rest of the offense to fire on all cylinders.
It should be a close game in front of a raucous crowd at Kyle Field but Jackson Arnold will rise to the occasion."
Gunner Norene, Sports Writer: Auburn 38-31
"I've been going back and forth on my pick all week, but the more I research Texas A&M, the more confidence I have in Auburn's ability to move the football on this Aggie defense. I think the Tigers will be able to produce on the ground with Jeremiah Cobb and Damari Alston, which will then open up the passing game, where Auburn's elite wide receivers can shine. Additionally, with Jay Crawford set to make his return from a leg injury, and the strong showing from Auburn's defensive front through four games, the Tigers have the corners to compete with Texas A&M's top players, like KC Concepcion and Mario Craver.
I expect this game to be a shootout and a lot higher scoring than last weekend's clash at Oklahoma. If Jackson Arnold can limit turnovers and get the ball out quickly, and its defense can contain Marcel Reed, Auburn will claim its first SEC win of the season."

Kevin Corso, Sports Writer: Auburn 20-17
"Coming off a rough game last week with some controversy surrounding the officiating crew, Auburn is looking to recover its SEC record. The Tigers are gearing up to play a tough No. 9 Aggie team in Kyle Field today, known for being one of the most difficult atmospheres to play in. In past games, we've seen Jackson Arnold and the Auburn offense perform well rushing against some tough defenses. I expect the Tigers to establish the run early against a weak Texas A&M defensive line. However, Auburn's passing game will also need to show up to play today and execute some explosive plays downfield. Defensively, Auburn needs to limit big plays and avoid giving up chunk yardage against an elite Aggie receiving core. believe if Auburn can control the ground game, get going in the air, and limit the Aggie passing attack, the Tigers can leave College Station with a big win."
