On Sept. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center recognized the talents of Auburn affiliates in the opening reception of their Fall Invitational Art Exhibition: AU Connection. The exhibition showcased 23 works from 12 artists, including both current and former Auburn University affiliates.

Anna Davis earned her first SEC Player of the Week honors of the early 2024-25 season, the league office announced on Wednesday. This marks the second career SEC weekly honor for Davis, who was named SEC Freshman of the Week in April – after joining the team midway through the season in January.

The No. 6 Auburn Tigers (8-0-0) are slated to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores (5-0-2) in their SEC home opener on Thursday aiming to remain undefeated on the season. The Tigers are 13-9-3 in SEC openers under head coach Karen Hoppa and 6-2-1 since 2015.

The Auburn University Board of Trustees Academic Affairs Committee approved a doctoral degree program in statistics and data science, the first of its kind in the state of Alabama, at their Sept. 6 meeting.
