On Oct. 15, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) announced via Instagram that Benny Johnson, Eric Trump, Lara Trump and U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville will speak for the upcoming “This is the Turning Point Tour” event on Wednesday, Nov. 5 in Neville Arena. The event, hosted by the TPUSA chapter at Auburn University, is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:00 p.m.
The Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) will be presenting "Misery," a new production based on the novel from Stephen King, from Oct. 24 to Nov. 2 at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center. The psychological thriller is one of many productions in AACT's 21st season and is recommended for patrons 16 and older.

Auburn had a pair of sophomore runners show out in the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where Nickson Chebii and Camilia Gomes paved the way for impressive finishes. Chebbi ran a 23:22.40 in the men’s 8k race, finishing fourth overall and Gomes finished 14th overall in the women’s 6k with a time of 20:19.00.
It was another opportunity to right the ship and deliver in front of a sold-out Jordan-Hare Stadium crowd, but once again the Tigers came up short, falling 23-17 to No. 16 Missouri in double overtime.
Despite an all-out performance from Auburn’s defense on Saturday night — including two clutch interceptions, nine tackles for loss, and the stifling of one of the best running backs in the nation — Auburn still ended up on the wrong side of a double-overtime loss to Missouri.
The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team earned another strong result at home, defeating Berry College 7-3 in a single-discipline meet Friday afternoon at the Auburn Equestrian Center. The Tigers secured the win in the jumping seat-only competition by claiming a 4-1 on the Flat and a 3-2 in Fences.
On Saturday, Oct. 18, over 400 Auburn and Opelika residents of all ages gathered for the “No Kings” protest outside the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Protestors stood along North College Street and held up American flags and light-up letter signs that spelled out “COUNTRY OVER PARTY.” According to the Auburn/Opelika No Kings website, they wanted to “take advantage” of game-day traffic.
Auburn Swim and Dive powered through a competitive first day at the Dual Meet Tournament in McAuley Aquatic Center in Georgia. The Tigers secured a narrow 358-351 victory over Minnesota in round one, before falling to Georgia, 400-382.
On Oct. 17, the Auburn Financial Management Association (FMA) hosted its annual Leadership Summit, where a panel of leaders shared characteristics of lifetime leadership with the business students. The Harbert College of Business welcomed the panel: Senator Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator for Alabama, Richard McPhall, EVP and CFO for The Home Depot and Erwin Van Der Voort, vice chairman in RBC Capital Markets' global investments bank.
In front of nearly 1700 fans Thursday evening, Auburn soccer (5-5-5, 1-3-4) held one of the league's top attacks in check and relied on a clutch goal from Erin Flurey to secure a 1-1 draw against Oklahoma (9-3-4, 2-3-3). The Tigers controlled much of the first half, but Oklahoma struck first in the second half before Flurey converted a penalty to score a tie.
