Florida equestrians evacuate horses to Auburn

While most evacuating Floridians loaded food, toiletries and gas into their cars as Hurricane Irma approached the U.S. coastline two weeks ago, some were more concerned about packing hay, tack and stall shavings into their horse trailers as they looked for a dryer place to evacuate their equines to.

SPLC webinar encourages nonviolent protest

In light of recent events on college campuses around the country involving the alt- right movement, the Southern Poverty Law Center presented a webinar to college administrators and students about how to nonviolently protest the alt-right movement when supporters arrive on campus.  Director of Marketing for the SPLC, Seth Levi, gave a web presence today to give advice on how to react to hate groups on campus nonviolently and positively. In April of 2017, Auburn University made national news when white nationalist Richard Spencer came to campus to present his message.

Students gathers for yoga on the Greenspace

Students can be found doing a variety of activities at the Student Center Greenspace at Auburn like frisbee or dog walking, but on September 19th from 5 to 6 PM, everyone on the Greenspace was doing yoga. To promote fitness classes, Campus Recreation hosted a free yoga session on the Greenspace open for anyone passing by to join.
