Tigers surge past Crimson Tide, claiming eighth win in last ten games

After an impressive three-game slate in the Alabama Showdown last week, Auburn Volleyball started off SEC play with a bang, beating rival Alabama handily in three straight sets. The Tigers continued their recent dominant streak against the Crimson Tide, having won eight of their last ten matchups entering Friday night. On a night when Neville Arena was packed with over 3,000 fans, the Tigers put on a show for their largest crowd of the season. The rivalry matchup was Auburn Volleyball’s second-highest attended game ever, only eclipsed by the Tigers’ matchup versus Texas last season.

From father to son: Steven Pearl takes the reins at Auburn

Steven Pearl has been on his father’s staff at Auburn since 2014 and has been a part of the program’s winning culture. During the past 11 seasons, he has held roles as assistant strength and conditioning coach, director of basketball operations, assistant coach and most recently associate head coach and defensive coordinator. Now moving up to the head coaching position, Auburn Men's Basketball is entering a new era.

Auburn's 2026 and 2027 SEC conference opponents announced

The new SEC conference schedule for the 2026 and 2027 seasons was recently released following the new adoption of the nine conference game schedule moving from the previous eight conference game schedule. In addition to the nine game yearly schedule the SEC also decided to designate three “rivalry” games that will remain unchanged throughout the upcoming years.

Tigers Top Samford Behind .400 Hitting and 13 Blocks

Another offensive power was once again the decider last match, as Auburn (8-2, 0-0) beat Samford (4-6, 0-0) in four sets, 3-1 (23-25, 25-12, 25-13, 25-14) on Friday night in the Pete Hanna Center. Auburn hit .400 for the match, marking the second time this season the Tigers have reached .400 and the sixth time they have eclipsed .300.
