The Auburn Police Division is investigating an apparent shooting death that occurred Wednesday night.
The police received a call at 9:05 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2018, of possible shots fired in the 800 Block of North Gay Street, about a mile north of downtown, police said in a release Wednesday night.
Police found a male victim when they arrived. No other information about the victim is available at this time. He was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
The incident is now under investigation. No further information was provided.
