School year's resolutions

Perhaps more important than New Year's resolutions to college students and faculty, is school year's resolutions.

Most people, even if they are not writing these goals now, think about things they would like to improve upon in the upcoming year.

Seth Hill, a senior in biomedical sciences, is already planning ahead for next year.

"I just want to graduate, get into med school, and enjoy my last year at Auburn," Hill said.

It seems as if succeeding in school is on the top of everyone's list.

"The whole grades thing is boring, but I really want to raise my GPA... I would like to have loads of fun too," said Elizabeth Carbine, a junior in entrepreneurship and family business.

According to Collegeboard.com, the only way to have a fun social life while improving grades is time management. In addition to having a personal time management tool, in which students can enter data and receive tips on how to improve their schedules, Collegeboard has a list of helpful hints.

Try some to achieve school year goals: 1) Make a to do list everyday 2) Find out when you do your best work and set aside that time to do it 3) Use spare minutes wisely.

Hopefully, Auburn students will stick to their school years resolutions better than the infamous New Year's ones.
