With a 4 percent difference, SGA announced a presidential runoff between the top two candidates.
Brad Cink with 36.5 percent and Kurt Sasser with 32.5 percent of the student votes will be participating in the runoff.
One candidate has to have 40 percent of the total votes, said SGA President Jacob Watkins.
With Cink's name being chanted through the crowds, he said he felt confident about the runoff.
"Hopefully Kurt and I can run a clean race like we did last week and pull something together," Cink said.
Sasser said he wasn't going to change his campaign for the next four days.
"I believe what I've done so far has been effective and basically revolves around hard work," Sasser said.
Daniel McCarty, the third presidential candidate, said he felt relieved and the results hadn't sunk in yet.
"They're two great candidates with two great platforms," McCarty said. "Both stand an equal shot at winning. The process is trying, and it's already been an emotional drain."
Ashley Nichols was named vice president with 69 percent of the support.
"It's really been a lot of fun," Nichols said. "It's been a great experience. I knew it would be a lot of work, but it has definitely been worth it. My support has been great, my staff has been wonderful. They have far exceeded my expectations, and I would do it again in a heartbeat."
Nichols said she is excited about the runoff and the upcoming year.
Brandon Gillepsie said he was proud of his support group and their hard work with the campaigning.
"I'm really excited, but I'm happy for Ashley, too," Gillepsie said. "I'm happy I was able to run with her."
Being the only candidate to run, Spencer Moore was named treasurer with no surprise.
"Feels great," Moore said. "I was kind of expecting this. Just here to hear my name called out and here to support SGA elections."
The presidential runoff will begin Friday 7 a.m. and continue through Monday 9 p.m. Callouts will be Monday 10 p.m. at Cater Lawn.
