A bomb threat to Domino's Pizza on Magnolia Avenue sent a swarm of police to secure and inspect the scene this morning.

"Got a phone a phone call, somebody complaining about finding a rat supposedly on their pizza," said Sonya Parker, the employee who answered the call. "They said they came in this morning and got the pizza, but we haven't had anybody in here with an order."

The threat was called in from a private number at approximately 10:50 a.m.

The store opened at 10 a.m. No carry-outs were served and the first delivery had not reached its destination yet.

Parker asked the caller what she could do to fix the problem and the caller told her she did not have to worry because the building was going to be blown up in five seconds.

"He counted down from five and hung up," Parker said. Parker immediately called her regional director and told them about the call. She was instructed to call the police.

Parker said the police were on the scene within two to three minutes.

"They were actually here pretty quick blocking off traffic," Parker said. "They blocked traffic then they came over here."

Parker said the police also stopped people from walking on the side of the street of the store's location. The officers then scanned the building and asked the employees questions about the threat. Nothing turned up in the search.

"We search the building and there was nothing located," said Capt. Tom Stofer.

Stofer said they will investigate the case to determine who placed the call.

"We will investigate it, but aside from that, nothing was discovered over there and it has since returned to normal business," Stofer said.

Parker said she was not scared by the situation. She was told by the police to watch for anything suspicious for the next couple days and not to hesitate to call 911.

"I don't even think it was a pissed off customer," Parker said. "I think it was just somebody deciding it was a great idea to prank phone call Domino's."
