Rainbow is no longer a term used just for the assorted colors we can find in the sky. Rainbow is also the name of a clothing store chain with more than 1,100 stores, helping to add splashes of color to make anyone's wardrobe sizzle and pop.
Rainbow premiered in Auburn on July 9, and people are still just finding out about the store. The store is located in Village Mall on Opelika Road, and its vibrant colors bring in shoppers who want to see what the store has to offer.
"I like how Rainbow has a good variety of items in a lot of pretty colors," said Tanika Williams, a Rainbow customer. "It's not hard to find something you like here."
Rainbow offers fashion-forward clothing, shoes and accessories for women who want to upgrade their closets. Jewelry from Rainbow is also featured in Girl's Life Magazine. The store has dressy attire for work and more fun and stylish clothing for date night or a night out with friends.
"We also carry name brand clothing for children too," said Marcia Williams, store manager. "We sell everything except men's clothing."
Women of all shapes and sizes can find the right fit in something they want to wear in this store.
"We have small sizes for women and a whole plus-size section," Williams said.
The women's plus-size section ranges from sizes 14-24. This section also carries all of the same cuts and styles as the junior section.
While maxi dresses and rompers are big this season in other stores, Rainbow has its own hint of colorful dresses, outfits, heels and flats.
"We get a lot of bright pieces with multiple colors this season," Williams said. "We also get a lot of requests for Auburn colored, orange and blue outfits."
Along with outfits, customers can also find exceptional service.
"Customer service is a top priority here, and we like to make sure everything is in tip-top condition," said Marissa Lunsford, sales associate. "Our goal here is to sale, sale and sale, and we want to make sure our customers have a great experience and want to come back."
Customer service takes a lot of time and effort, so working in a relaxed environment with people who share the same goal can make things easier.
"I like working at Rainbow because it's a friendly environment with good management and co-workers," Lunsford said.
Customers are gained in an environment where employees show good work ethic.
The prices are also another reason for shoppers to frequently visit the store. Regular priced items range from $4-25, and sales are always going on.
"We are getting ready to do markdowns, and we will have even more sales," Williams said. "As of right now, our perfume is buy three for $10, our jewelry is buy one and get one 50 percent off, and some of our sandals are $4.99."
Williams said all tanks and tees are buy two for $5 or more each, and they also offer military discounts.
Sales and selling are priorities at Rainbow, and they need help to get the job done. Rainbow is still currently hiring for management and sales positions.
Rainbow caters to people's needs and has items for shoppers with different tastes, and Williams believes that sets the store apart.
"Rainbow is a premiere store in Auburn because there is nothing else like it," she said.
