Trustees appoint Bossinger as provost

The Auburn University Board of Trustees met on Friday, June 22 and appointed Timothy Boosinger to the position of provost and vice-president of academic affairs.

Boosinger was serving as interim provost before being appointed. In this role Boosinger will oversee 12 colleges and 25 academic support units will report to him.

Before becoming provost Boosinger was the Dean of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine from 1995-2011 and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs from 1993-1995, according to the Office of the Provost website.

He joined the Auburn University faculty in 1983.
