Partial areas of Thach Avenue will be closed today, April 21, tomorrow, April 22, and potentially for the entire week to allocate space for sewage construction.
The closure extends from the intersection of Thach Avenue and Ross Street and intersection of Thach Avenue and Debardeleben Street.
According to David Dorton, public relations director for the city of Auburn, the originally anticipated weeklong closure will likely open Wednesday, April 22.
Scott Hise of Holt Construction, the company doing the work, confirmed that they were ahead of schedule.
Hise said the work is tying a new sewage service into an existing mainstream sewage service.
According to Hise, this new sewage structure is due to on going construction in Auburn.
