SGA's Capitol on the Plains brings Gov. Bentley to Auburn

Gov. Robert Bentley will be speaking to students at Capitol on the Plains, Thursday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. in Langdon Hall.
SGA is hosting the event, and the first 200 people in the door will get a free t-shirt, according to the SGA Facebook event page.
Bentley will be answering question from students who tweet to @AuburnSGA with the hashtag #COTP.
Alabama's gubernatorial election is this November and Bentley is running against former U.S. Rep. Parker Griffith.
Griffith was elected to Congress from Alabama's 5th Congressional District as a Democrat in 2008, but switched to the Republican Party in 2010. Griffith lost the Republican primary in 2010 and has rejoined the Democratic Party to run against Bentley this year.
Bentley served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010 and was elected as governor in 2010.
Bentley's campaign recently announced that no debate would take place in this year's governor's race.
