Arrest made in weekend hit-and-run after Auburn vs. LSU game

According to Auburn Police Chief, Paul Register, an arrest has been made concerning the hit-and-run case that injured three teenagers this past weekend.

Auburn native, Jarod C. Litton, 24, turned himself into the police and is being held at the Lee County Jail under a $53,000 bond.

Litton has been arrested and charged with a felony of leaving the scene of the accident and first-degree assault.

The hit-and-run occurred on the 600 block of Magnolia Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday. Litton struck the victims with his truck while they were walking on the sidewalk hours after the Auburn vs. LSU football game.

The victims are all between 16 and 17 and are Mobile natives. Both females only suffered minor injuries, while the male was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital by helicopter due to serious injuries.

He is in stable condition.
