The 2014 Faculty Awards took place on Thursday night at the Auburn Hotel.
Faculty members gathered for cocktails, dinner and an award ceremony.
Recipients of the Gerald and Emily Leischuck Endowed Presidential Awards for Excellence in Teaching were Debbie R. Folkerts and Stuart David Loch, both of the college of sciences and mathematics.
F Stephen Dobson, College of Sciences and Mathematics, and Brian E. Vaughn, College of Human Sciences received the Research and Creative Scholarship Awards.
Recipients of this year's Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Awards are Brian L. Connelly ; College of Business, Stephen P. Schmidt; College of Agriculture, and Rod E. Turohy; College of Engineering.
The 2014 Alumni Professors are Ellen N. Behrend; College of Veterinary Medicine, Virginia A. Davis; College of Engineering, Valentina Hartarska; College of Agriculture, Peter D. Johnson, Jr.; College of Science and Mathematics, and Lisa Jean Samuleson; School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences.
The Distinguished Faculty Lectureship award went to Paula R. Backscheider of the College of Liberal Arts.
Alan E. Wilson of the College of Agriculture received the Provost Award of Excellence in Fostering Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship.
Awards were presented by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Timothy Boosinger.
"We are very proud of our faculty and staff, as we always are. This is our chance to showcase their excellence," Boosinger said.
