A 20-year-old female Auburn student fell 40 feet into a quarry near Chewacla State Park on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 8.
Capt. Will Mathews with the Auburn Police Division said the student was airlifted to Columbus Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries after responding to the call at 3:30 p.m.
The student's name has not been released.
Mathews said the quarry is on private property and it would be up to the property owner to decide if trespassing charges are filed.
