Police arrest and charge two men with September 2014 robbery

Two men were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery over the weekend.

The Auburn Police Division announced the arrests in a press release Monday, March 9.

Jamal A. Hutchinson, 20, of Auburn was arrested Saturday, March 7, and Marquavious T. Howard, 23, of Tuskegee was arrested Sunday, March 8.

Police said the arrest were the result of an investigation into a Sept. 1, 2014, robbery at a business in the 1800 block of West Longleaf Drive.

A clerk at a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint and suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Both men were transported to the Lee County Jail and are being held on a $100,000 bond.
