The previously 16th-ranked Auburn Tigers have proven worthy to jump two spots on this week’s National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association softball rankings, up to No. 14.
With a 21-1 record so far, the Tigers top a number of SEC teams including Missouri, Texas A&M and South Carolina.
The Tigers travel to Fullerton, California, on Thursday, March 5, to compete in the Judi Garman Classic, starting their first game at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon against Long Beach State.
Before returning to the Plains for another home game, the Tigers will face their first SEC opponent, Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi, on Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m.
