Several driver's license system improvements were announced Thursday, July 23.
Those who already have an Alabama license can now renew their license or order a duplicate license online. They can also use a self-service kiosk at a driver's license office.
People who need to obtain a license can schedule an appointment online.
People can also download a digital license to their smartphone to use as a form of identification.
