Basketball coach Bruce Pearl will team up with PGA Tour golfer Will Wilcox to host a junior golf clinic Tuesday, July 14.
The event will be held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National in Opelika and is sponsored by Alabama Power and the Barbasol Championship.
Children from the Auburn and Opelika areas in third through fifth grade will join Pearl and Wilcox to learn the basics practices and etiquette of golf.
“Alabama Power is thrilled to support the Junior Clinic, which will showcase the important lessons that golf can provide our children,” Leslie Sanders, vice president of Alabama Power’s Southern Division said. “We’re excited to have Will and Bruce with us to help host the event."
The clinic will be held on the driving range at Grand National and will begin at 10 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the clinic will move to the Marriott Hotel at Grand National.
