The Salvation Army Donation Center, located at the 1000 block of Opelika Road was broken into Sunday, Aug. 9, according to a news release by the Auburn Police Division.
According to the report, officers responded Monday, Aug. 10 to a call saying someone forcibly entered the property and caused more than $1,000 in damage. An undisclosed amount of money was also taken.
Video surveillance captured the suspect committing the burglary. He appears to be an African-American male between 30-40 years old, approximately 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 240-260 pounds.
The burglary is currently under investigation by APD. Anyone with information should call the police at 334-501-3140 or the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391.
