Police are investigating a Macon County shooting where the victim turned up in the Hampton Inn parking lot on South College Street Wednesday morning, Sept. 23.
The man, in his late 20's, according to the Auburn Police Division, pulled off the Interstate 85 at South College Street to seek help for a gunshot wound shortly after 9 a.m.
Macon County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the crime scene.
The man was treated at the scene and transported to the East Alabama Medical Center. His injuries appear non-life threatening, according to police.
