The Auburn Police Division is investigating a robbery that occurred Sept. 12 at approximately 12:30 a.m., according to an email issued by Auburn University Public Safety.
According to the report, the victim had consumed alcohol and last remembers walking near Wright Street and Magnolia Avenue.
The victim woke up in the early morning and discovered injuries consistent with being assaulted. The victim also discovered his wallet and cellphone to be missing.
According to the report, video surveillance from a nearby business showed a suspect described as an African-American male wearing dark pants, a red shirt and white shoes using the victim's debit card to purchase gas for a silver SUV, which was last seen heading south on College Street.
