The Auburn Police Division is investigating two robberies which took place during the weekend, according to a press release.
The release said officers responded to a call at a business located in the 600 block of Webster Road, and shortly after responded to another robbery call at a business located in the 1800 block of W. Longleaf Drive on Saturday night, Jan. 16.
Upon arrival, officers were informed an African-American male armed with a hand gun entered the businesses and demanded money. After taking an unknown amount of money from the businesses, the suspect fled on foot.
There were no injuries during both incidents, according to the release.
According to video surveillance the police gathered, the African-American male is 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3 tall, weighing 180‐190 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange and blue baseball cap, sunglasses and a gray zip‐up hoodie over a navy blue T-shirt, blue jeans and athletic shoes.
